Mycoren V is a brand of Nystatin, an antifungal antibiotic used in the treatment of candida vaginitis in women by inserting the Pessaries high into the vagina using the applicator. Nystatin is both fungicidal and fungistatic “in vitro, against a wide variety of yeast and other fungi like yeast. It is effective against a variety of both pathogenic and non pathogenic species of candida, especially candida albicans.

Therapeutic indications
For the treatment of candidal vaginitis.
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION PESSARIES:
DOSAGE
Adults including the elderly:
1 or 2 pessaries should be inserted high into the vagina using the applicator provided for 14 consecutive nights or longer, regardless of any intervening menstrual period.
Children: Not recommended.
Route of administration: Vaginal
USAGE OF APPLICATOR
Thoroughly wash the applicator with warm water and dry prior to use. Place the vaginal tablet in the holder of applicator, insert the applicator in the vagina in such a way that the tablet reaches in depth up to the cervix. Push the plunger to eject the tablet.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
There are no known contraindications to use of Mycoren V Pessaries, except hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
In pregnancy, care should be taken when using an applicator to prevent the possibility of mechanical trauma.
Do not swallow.
INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICINAL PRODUCTS AND OTHER FORMS OF INTERACTION: Not known.

UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
There are no known side-effects to Nystatin Pessaries, except the possibility of hypersensitivity to Nystatin or to any of the ingredients listed.
